Lucy joined the School of Sustainable Food and Farming (SSFF) in 2024 to bring the Sustainable Farming Network (SFN) vision to life. Having had the good fortune of a broad career in UK food and farming, Lucy has worked across organic veg production and conventional cereals agronomy, being involved in the cropping and marketing of produce from salad to thatching straw, nurturing diversity both in and out of the field in her home county of Wiltshire.
Since taking up studies with an MSc in Agroecology in 2017, she has enjoyed roles with LEAF, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and FFCC, and loved learning about the many solutions that make up UK ag. The SFN initiative fits Lucy’s particular interest in where common ground can be found between seemingly disparate sectors and systems to the enrichment of all.
